Las primeras nominaciones de la temporada 2021-22 han llegado. La Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) ha dado a conocer a los nominados a los Gotham Independent Film Awards 2021.
A diferencia del año pasado, para este 2021 la IFP decidió unificar las categorías de actuación en una sola, es decir, no hay mejor actriz o mejor actor, sino que ahora es “mejor actuación”, siendo una competencia neutral en el género.

“Passing” de Rebecca Hall y “The Lost Daughter” de Maggie Gyllenhaal encabezan la lista de nominaciones al estar presente en cinco categorías, incluyendo Mejor Película y Mejor Actuación.

Gotham Awards 2021: Premios especiales
Aunque no están nominados, habrá actores que regresarán a casa con un premio especial. El cast de "The Harder They Fall” (Zazie Beetz, Lakeith Stanfield, Danielle Deadwyler, Idris Elba, Regina King, Delroy Lindo, Jonathan Majors, Deon Cole, RJ Cyler y Edi Gathegi) recibirá el Ensemble Tribute; mientras que Jane Campion será galardonada con el Director’s Tribute, Eamonn Bowles con el Industry Tribute y Kristen Stewart con el Performer Tribute.
La ceremonia se llevará a cabo el 29 de noviembre en New York City.
