El domingo 16 de mayo se realizó una edición más de los MTV Movie & TV Awards para premiar lo mejor de las películas y series. Por otro lado, este lunes - 17 de mayo - se realizó la primera edición de los MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted, los cuales se centraron en los reality shows.
La ceremonia de este lunes se realizó en el Palladium en Los Ángeles y tuvo a la comediante Nikki Glaser como anfitriona.
