In 2007 David Beckham arrived at the MLS setting a precedent: he did it as the first Designated Player in the history of the league and defended the colors of Los Angeles Galaxy. During his time with the LA team, the English midfielder won two league titles and one MLS Supporters' Shield, thus becoming one of the most beloved and symbolic players of the club.

The impact that Beckham generated in LA Galaxy was so high that he could even have his statue at the StubHub Center in Los Angeles. According to information from ESPN, sources within the team told them that David will have a figure and could be ready before the first team match of the season.

The memorial would be at the main entrance of the stadium, home of the Los Angeles Galaxy in the Major League Soccer since 2003. In this way, everyone will be able to observe it and remember the English legend in his days as a player of the club.

LA Galaxy wants Beckham present

ESPN said LA Galaxy wants to see David Beckham the day the statue is unveiled. For now, there is no official pronouncement by the former English world champion, who currently owns the Inter Miami FC franchise, and is expected to make his debut in the MLS by 2020.
