La noche más importante del cine llegó. Este 10 de marzo, California se vistió de gala para celebrar la 96ª edición de los Premios Oscar, misma que tuvo lugar en su ya tradicional sede, el Dolby Theatre de Los Angeles. Por cuarta vez en la historia del evento, el comediante Jimmy Kimmel fue host de la gala, mientras que celebridades como Emma Stone, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Gosling y Cillian Murphy desfilaron por la alfombra roja.
Para la edición de este 2024, ‘Oppenheimer’ lideró la lista de nominados al estar presente en 13 ocasiones. A la cinta de Christopher Nolan le siguió ‘Poor Things’, de Yorgos Lanthimos, con 11 nominaciones y ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’, de Martin Scorsese, con 10. Pese a la gran competencia, y como era de esperarse, el largometraje de la creación de la Bomba Atómica se llevó la noche al ser la cinta más premiada de la gala.

Oppenheimer, de Christopher Nolan, se consolidó como la película del año al llevarse siete estatuillas. La cinta triunfó en las categorías de: Mejor Película, Mejor Director (Christopher Nolan), Mejor Actor (Cillian Murphy), Mejor Actor de Reparto (Robert Downey Jr.) Mejor Montaje, Mejor Fotografía y Mejor Banda Sonora (Ludwig Göransson).
