In the last minutes of the performance of Maroon 5 in the Super Bowl LIII halftime, Adam Levine, singer of the Californian band, took off his shirt while singing 'Moves Like Jagger', showing his naked torso.

The fact that Levine did not have any consequence for this, and although many women went crazy, lots of people also thought it was hypocritical.

Why? Well in 2004 at the 38th edition of the Super Bowl, Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake were in charge of the halftime show. Creating great controversy because when they sang 'Rock Your Body,' in the last line 'gotta have you naked by the end of this song,' former NSYNC member removed Janet Jackson's top revealing a nipple covered by a star-shaped metal pasty.

This act is better known as 'Nipplegate,' and even the NFL took matters into their own hands making some changes in the policies and after that Timberlake's career and Jante's went down the hill

After Adam Levine performance and the taking off his shirt situation, the social media remembered how they condemned Jackson for a 'similar' situation asking for justice since it was the same, but no one has said anything.

The nipple double standard is the topic of discussion around the internet, as apparently only female ones are censored as Levine is the first halftime performer to take off his shirt, but there was no reproach for him, not yet anyway.
